Via Romagna is Italy's first permanent regional cycle tourism route, a 460 km ring through secondary paths and white roads. Via Romagna is the first permanent regional route in Italy dedicated to cycle tourism and based on secondary paved roads with low traffic and with sections called “strade bianche”, well-compacted gravel like a dirt road.
The 460km route connects the provinces of Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, crossing about 30 municipalities and touching 20 fortresses and castles, in addition to churches and cathedrals, monuments and museums, and a rich gastronomic heritage with various opportunities to visit wineries, local cheese and cured meat producers, pastry shops and typical restaurants.
