Itinerary Details

Day 1: Bologna - Cattolica

◉ Arrival in Italy, Bologna airport.
◉ Transfer departing at 2:00 PM from the airport to the city of Cattolica.
◉ Free time to explore the city and at 6:00 PM briefing with the staff. Dinner at the hotel follows.

Day 2: Mombaroccio

◉ Sant’Angelo – Mombaroccio – Candelara/Pesaro.
◉ About 75km 1,200+ elevation gain.
◉ We will start our ride crossing the hills of Sant’Angelo in Lizzola until we reach Candelara. From here we proceed to Mombaroccio, a small village still surrounded by medieval walls. Passing through the characteristic Porta Maggiore and heading towards Piazza Barocci, we will find the Museum of Rural Life and Sacred Art, in addition to the small church.
◉ Return to the hotel and free lunch.
◉ Afternoon tour option: visit to the charming city of Roman origin, Fano. Free dinner.

Day 3: San Marino

◉ 2019 Giro d’Italia Time Trial Stage – San Marino.
◉ About 90km 1,500+ elevation gain.
◉ Our goal will be San Marino, with its beautiful panorama, from the top of its 700 meters above sea level. To reach the highest point, we will follow the route faced by the Giro d’Italia in 2019, the Cronoscalata di Montegiardino, with a stop for photos at the monument dedicated to this Stage, the “Wine Stage”.
◉ We will continue through its imposing walls to the castle entrance and then return to the hotel via the fun Mercatino descent.
◉ Free dinner.

Day 4: Siena

◉ Siena and strade bianche.
◉ 120km 1,800+ elevation gain.
◉ At 7:15 AM transfer to the city of Città di Castello, about 2 hours. From here we start our pedal towards Siena, crossing burghs and villages. At the end of the route, we will be riding sections of Strade Bianche already close to Siena.
◉ Free lunch on site and transfer to Hotel Borgo Massano (3 hours trip).
◉ Dinner included.

Day 5: Furlo

◉ Furlo Gorge Route.
◉ About 125km 2,100+ elevation gain.
◉ Known for its beautiful canyons, this is the ancient Roman Road, which connected the city of Rimini to Rome. The village of Acqualagna is one of the region's attractions, thanks to the famous white truffles, one of the diamonds of Italian gastronomy.
◉ Dinner included.

Day 6: Carpegna

◉ Il Carpegna mi basta – Marco Pantani.
◉ 135km 2,000+ elevation gain.
◉ This will be the “challenge day”, one of the most exciting climbs, the Carpegna, Marco Pantani's “training ground”. Prepare for the emotion, because reaching the top of “Il Cielo del Pirata” (the pirate's sky) is a milestone in every cyclist's life, from here we proceed to San Marino, another big climb to the hotel.
◉ Free dinner.

Day 7: Bologna

◉ Breakfast.
◉ Transfer to Bologna airport departing at 9:00 AM. Arrivederci Italia.
