Itinerary Details

Day 1: Marrakech

◉ We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your first accommodation.
◉ Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a little afternoon walk in the city, where you can see the beautiful El-Badi Palace, the historical walls of the town, or the labyrinthine markets.
◉ Transfer from RAK Airport to Hotel. Welcome Briefing & Bike Fitting.
Meals: Lunch and dinner included | Accommodation: Hotel in Marrakech

Day 2: Telouet to Ait Ben Haddou

◉ The day begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast, followed by a transfer to Telouet, the starting point of this stage. The ride leads towards Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient kasbahs and impressive southern Moroccan architecture.
◉ The route crosses the Atlas Mountains, with varied landscapes of red trails, rocky terrain, and wide horizons. Along the way, you will pass through Berber villages, where daily life continues much as it has for centuries. The stage includes visits to the Salt Mines of Telouet and the Tazakhte, as well as the Troglodyte dwellings of the Ounila Valley – caves carved into the cliffs once used by semi-nomadic communities.
◉ Arriving at Aït Ben Haddou is the highlight of the day. Famous for its appearance in many films and series, the ksar stands out with its mudbrick walls and distinctive design, marking the end of the longest stage of the tour.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 66 km, +550 m | Accommodation: Riad/Hotel in Ait Ben Haddou

Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate

◉ This stage begins in Aït Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed mudbrick ksar known as the setting for many films. In the early morning, the kasbah provides an impressive starting point before the ride sets off across a mix of dirt roads and single tracks leading towards the desert plateaus.
◉ The route continues along undulating desert trails and passes the Kiwirrkurra Community Village Backlot, a filming location used for Hollywood desert scenes. The Hamada stone desert stretches across the horizon, with occasional sightings of camels and nomadic Berber tents.
◉ The stage concludes with a long descent into Ouarzazate, where the silence of the desert and the open landscapes define the ride.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 43 km, +250 m | Accommodation: Hotel in Ouarzazate

Day 4: Ouarzazate to Skoura

◉ Most of this stage follows unpaved terrain, crossing valleys, ridges, and wide open landscapes. At around 38 kilometers, the first long but steady climb begins, offering expansive views of the surrounding mountains. Later, a steeper ascent provides a more demanding challenge before the final approach to Skoura.
◉ Along the way, the route passes through villages such as Aït Atmane Ou Youssef and Zouiya, where mosques and traditional structures reflect centuries of resilience and faith.
◉ The stage ends in Skoura, an oasis where rammed-earth kasbahs and extensive palm groves contrast with the rocky terrain of the High Atlas. Combining a lively town with its historic palmeraie, Skoura represents the transition between mountains and desert, and marks the conclusion of the day’s ride.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 90 km, +1000 m | Accommodation: Hotel/Riad in Skoura

Day 5: Skoura to Boutharar

◉ After breakfast, the ride begins in Skoura, a village set in a fertile valley sustained by mountain streams. From here, the route heads into the mountains, climbing steadily to 1,900 meters, with expansive views over peaks and open horizons.
◉ The stage starts with a gradual ascent, followed by about 20 kilometers of mostly level terrain, before a descent towards Boutharar. Along the way, the landscape shifts to small traditional hamlets where local life follows long-standing traditions.
◉ The day ends in Boutharar, overlooking the Valley of Roses. This quiet village marks the close of the stage, offering a calm setting after a demanding ride through remote mountain landscapes.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 83 km, +1100 m | Accommodation: Guesthouse in Boutharar

Day 6: Boutharar to Dades

◉ This stage begins with a steep and demanding climb, moving through varied terrain that shifts from rocky slopes to small green valleys fed by mountain streams.
◉ At around 26 kilometers, the route reaches Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the gateway to the Valley of Roses. The town is carved by the Assif M’Goun River and, in spring, hosts the Rose Festival, one of the most notable cultural events in the region.
◉ From there, the track continues through rugged landscapes with distinctive rock formations before reaching Dades. The stage concludes with dinner, featuring a traditional Moroccan tajine, marking the end of the day’s ride.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 74 km, +1050 m | Accommodation: Hotel in Dades

Day 7: Dades to Tinghir

◉ Today’s stage is the longest and one of the most demanding of the tour. We climb steadily to almost 2,000 meters of altitude, crossing the rugged landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. The ascent brings changing scenery, from dry slopes to wide mountain horizons, while the cooler air at higher elevations makes the effort more manageable.
◉ After reaching the top, we descend into the Todra Gorge, known for its tall orange and red limestone cliffs. In some sections, the gorge narrows to about 10 meters, creating an impressive passage through the rock walls.
◉ From there, the terrain changes once more: as we approach Tinghir, green palm groves line the valley, forming a sharp contrast to the surrounding arid mountains. The day concludes in Tinghir, a lively town set within one of Morocco’s oases, where the mix of natural landscapes and local culture creates a fitting end to this long ride.
Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner | Distance: 74 km, +700 m | Accommodation: Hotel/Riad in Tinghir

Day 8: Tinghir to Marrakech

◉ After these exhilarating days of MTB, it’s time to return to the busy city of Marrakesh.
◉ Marrakesh is a former imperial city and one of the most popular locations in Morocco. It is home to beautiful mosques, palaces, and gardens, as well as the famous souk market. Among the smells and the colors that are so traditional to this culture, it is in Jemaa el-Fna Souk that we feel the true energy of this city! Remember, haggling is the secret of business!
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner | Transfer: Tinghir - Marrakech | Accommodation: Hotel in Marrakech

Day 9: Departure
