Via Romagna Pro Cycling tour
Via Romagna is Italy's first permanent regional cycle tourism route, a 460 km ring through secondary paths and white roads. The tour crosses medieval villages, castles, and cathedrals, diving into local gastronomic culture with visits to cheese producers and renowned wineries. Discover the rural and historic soul of Romagna by pedaling between art and nature in a land born for cycling. A perfect itinerary for those seeking authenticity, unmistakable flavors, and varied landscapes at every kilometer.
Via Romagna is the first permanent regional route in Italy dedicated to cycle tourism and based on secondary paved roads with low traffic and with sections called “strade bianche”, well-compacted gravel like a dirt road.
The 460km route connects the provinces of Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, crossing about 30 municipalities and touching 20 fortresses and castles, in addition to churches and cathedrals, monuments and museums, and a rich gastronomic heritage with various opportunities to visit wineries, local cheese and cured meat producers, pastry shops and typical restaurants.
